Browns Park Swinging Bridge Repair Project in the Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge, Colorado. Moffat County has been upgrading the Swinging Bridge for several years in order to improve and maintain the crossing for pedestrian, agricultural, and vehicular traffic. Located in the Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge, the 320-foot suspension bridge spans the Green River approximately 1-mile east of the Colorado-Utah state border. The current bridge was constructed in 1954 and suffered significant structural damage in June, 2014 when a rancher attempted to cross in a tractor that exceeded the posted weight limit.
